Thu, Jan 02.25

As 2024 came to an end, 2025 sounds just as promising. Whether you're a die-hard Australian supporter, A-Leagues fan, or love European football, there’s something for everyone. Here is what to expect for the first half of the year.
January: Back in action
As you're probably getting ready to kick off with pre-season, European competitions are about to get back the pitch too. After a well deserved winter break, major European clubs are getting back into action until May. Some exciting games are to come, starting with Liverpool vs Manchester United and AS Roma vs Lazio on January 6th.
The Men's Champions League is also back with Matchday 7 and 8 at the end of the month. January 21/22 and January 29/30 are the dates to write down in your calendar!
February: Women's football in the spotlight
Starting the month with an interesting draw for women's football, we will find out the fixtures for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Women's Champions League.
Continuing with the Champions League's highlights, the Men's knockout phases begin. The 11/12 and 18/19 are going to be very important dates for the teams still on the run and their fans.
Our February month will be marked by the SheBelieves Cup and our Matildas heading to the US, opening the competitions with big teams to beat if they want to have a chance to reach the trophy. On their agenda, the Tillies will be facing Japan on the 21st, the USA on the 24th and Colombia on the 27th. What a tournament for our girls! Let's make sure we're giving them all the support they need, the best way for that is wearing our colours, whether it's a jersey, a scarf or a t-shirt - you know we've got you covered.
March: Levelling up the game
March is a crucial month for European championships. We're starting the month with the Rounds of 16 for the Men's Champions League on March 4th/5th and 11th/12th and the quarter finals of the Women's on the 18th/19th and 26th/27th.
After a month of February focusing on the Matildas, our Socceroos are playing for the first time of the year with non other than two big World Cup Qualifiers. Our players will be facing Indonesia on the 20th and China on the 25th.
April: On the road to trophies
As the year continues, we're approaching the season of finals and getting closer to seeing the best players in the biggest leagues getting their hands on trophies. The first quarter finals of the Men's Champions League will take place on the 8th/9th and 15/16th followed by the first semi-finals on 29/30th.
On the Women's side, the semi-finals will kick off on the 19th/20th and 26th/27th.
May: Finals fever
A month of finals for everyone! As the month starts, the last semi-finals of the Champions League will take place on the 6th/7th and the winners will be facing each other at the end of the month, on May 31st.
For the Women's, as the semi finals finished in April, this year's final will be in Lisbon on the 23rd, 24th or 25th (TBC).
Then, the curtain falls for the European championship, all ending in May. Premier League, la Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga are closing, so as the domestic cups with FA Cup, Coupe de France, Copa del Rey, Copa Italia and DFB Pokal Cup. What a month with maybe the biggest games of the season!
Our A-Leagues are also closing up this month with the Ninja A League final on the 17th and the Isuzu A League on the 31st.
June: Make it global
Continuing with the World Cup qualifiers for the Socceroos, two massive games against Japan on June 5th and Saudi Arabia on June 10th will hopefully see our national team qualify for the World Cup once again.
As the European championships are over, we're moving more global and kicking off with the Club World Cup on the 14th.
Maybe this year's most important football moment, the Women's Euro are starting on June 20th, bringing Europe's best national teams and players together. Will Spain keep up with its last performance at the World Cup? England to keep the title? Or will we be surprised by a smaller nation? A tournament that we definitely keep an eye on.
July: Crowning the best
When we are usually used to a quiet July in terms of football, we will be closing up this first half of the year with two major events, and on the same day.
July 13th is when we will all be in front of our TVs, watching the Women's Euro finals, followed by the Club World Cup finals. Better upgrade you're TV setup if you're keen to kick back and soak up all the action at home this winter.
Last words
This year is packed with opportunities to support our Socceroos and Matildas and beyond the local leagues, we have strong ties to European football through our Australian players like Sam Kerr (Chelsea), Caitlin Foord (Arsenal), and Harry Souttar (Leicester).
Plus, major tournaments like the SheBelieves Cup and UEFA Women’s Euro will give fans a reason to wake up early or stay up late for world-class football that will undoubtedly bring the light on the women's game.
Keen for some big products to accompany all these moments in 2025? You’d best believe there are some incredible drops coming. Stay tuned to our socials—2025 is going to be a bumper year, football fans.
