The Nike 2023 WWC Kits Are Here - Let's Take A Look
Fri, Jun 09.23

With the highly anticipated 2023 Women's WC only weeks away now, Nike has decided to drop several participating teams kits.
Each kit design narrates a story that honours the vibrant cultures of Nike's 13 federation partners, a remarkable number for the 2023 WWC. These stories come alive through the infusion of colours, patterns, and intricate details. Let's take a look at them all by starting off with the hosts. Where else could we start?
Our very own collection celebrates diversity and community. There's been so much hype in the lead up to the tournament over the last few years. These kits act as an invitation for all of Australia to get involved and join in this landmark legacy moment. Something that might never come around again down here.
Australia
The home jersey utilises a hand created acrylic pour and marbling pattern which draws on the golden wattle. It's a design which aims to blend the many diverse cultures that make our country so great. Everyone is represented on this jersey.
The turquoise away jersey is fresh and vibrant. It focusses on Australia's energetic and forward-thinking future. Nike tried to make a design as beautiful as the country itself and we think they've succeeded. The trio of colours celebrate all of our country's natural wonders. Wonders fans from all around the globe will soon be able to experience for themselves when they arrive for the tournament.

Brazil
The Brazil home jersey is inspired by the country's natural beauty, while keeping things very true to the past. I mean, you can't not have a bold yellow and green design for the country that made the game beautiful. A Brazil home kit must always remain true to itself and iconic. The all-over fern pattern links to the uniqueness of the team and its players. Simple - we love it.
The Brazil away jersey is inspired by the nations rich biodiversity. Hence the blue and green blend of colours. The leaf pattern over the shoulders and sleeves pay homage to the Amazon rainforest, while an inner graphic nods to mother nature. One for those who are keen on pushing the boundaries off pitch style wise. Rate Streetgato shoes? The latest pair relates to this jersey design.

Canada
One of the best kits you will see at the tournament. The red and black home jersey design features a bold evolution of the maple leaf. It is absolutely stunning and on body this one looks even better. Just look at the image below. Vibes.

China
The China home jersey keeps it true to tradition. Red and yellow is a combination deeply entrenched in China's identity. The design is inspired by the xiangyun symbol, a tradition stylized cloud associated with good luck and fortune. Will it bring luck to the players on the pitch? Let's see!

England
This is a very England home jersey and this is a very big opportunity for the Three Lions to bring it home. The predominantly white and blue design tips a hat to the 1984 England women’s team, the country’s first women’s team assembled for a major tournament. It is also inspired by the Art Deco movement and design of Wembley Stadium. An icon of the game which will get to celebrate its 100th anniversary this year. The graffiti-inspired accents on the sleeves add a touch of modernity to a classy throwback.
The England away jersey uses two different shades of blue which take us straight back to the 90s. The deconstructed England graphic on the inside further adds to the modernised look. This is easily one of our favourites from the Nike WWC jersey collection.

France
Nike and France never disappoint when it comes to tournament kits. This pairing is no different. The powder blue colourway utilised on the France home jersey celebrates the early pioneers of women's football in France. It's not a France kit without some visible tricolour pattern, which is seen on the sleeves and logo. Another classic.
The away jersey throws it back to the country's love of art. An all-over print is inpired by abstract brush strokes, paired with a tricolour paint splatter on the sleeves. They just don't get jerseys wrong, do they?

The Netherlands
Surprise, surprise. The new Netherlands home jersey comes through with this lively orange and, quite frankly, anything else would have been a crime. This is perfect. Originally a symbol of the royal family, the use of orange has since become a sign of football excellence. Could this be another tournament of Total Football? We hope so.
The away jersey uses the team's lioness crest - a symbol of their power, strength and ability on the the field. The shades of blue are used to create a modernized print. Another cracking away design from the Swoosh.

New Zealand
Nike's designers drew inspiration from the silver fern for the New Zealand home jersey. A long standing symboy of strenth, power and national identity. Respecting their past, people and nature is something NZ does so well. The all-over fern print is created with a spray paint like technique, showing off the emblem in a really cool way.
The away design is super clean with the predominately white colouway met with futuristic blue. Inspired by the 1991 qualifying squad. This is one of our favourite designs - the Kiwis might even have us covered from an away kit point of view.

Nigeria
One of the more eagerly anticipated Nike country releases with every major tournament. The new Nigeria home jersey celebrates the Super Falcons with an energetic new bright green used. A stair-inspired graphic on the sleeve celebrates the team's rise while hidden details feature their nickname.
The Nigeria 2023 away jersey is inspired by Adire textiles, putting a modern spin on the traditional design elements from the past. Wish this pattern was seen on a pair of Futsal shoes? The latest Streetgato use it beautifully.

Norway
The Norway 2023 home jersey uses the national flag as its inspiration for the design. The jersey is mostly red (of course) with blue on the side panels alongside national accent colours on the sleeves. On the inside of the jersey you'll find the words "Sterkere Sammen", which translates to Stronger Together.
Portugal
Drawing inspiration from the dynamic convergence of history and contemporary culture, the Portugal home jersey revitalises a classic colour scheme by injecting it with exuberant vibrancy. It merges traditional elements with youthful enthusiasm and is unmistakably Portugal. A real classic.
The away jersey celebrates football as an art form. The all-over print pulls inspiration from street art and the national flag to turn this jersey into a work of art.

South Korea
The South Korea home jersey on body is one of our favourites. Red tied together with pink? It works so well. The jersey is inspired by the country's youth culture and renowned fashion style. The blocking on the side panes create a distinctive look reflection the youthful spirit of the country and team. Another winner and one of our personal favourites.
