The Corinthians 2019/20 home & away jerseys have arrived at Ultra Football

The Nike 2019/20 Corinthians home jersey pays homage to one of the greatest players of all time. Ronaldo R9. The Phenomenon.

Ten years ago Ronaldo left AC Milan which put an end to an illustrious career in Europe. Although much of his career was blighted by injuries, there is no doubt that R9 is one of the most legendary players to have played the game. Had it not been for the crippling knee injuries that first occurred in the late 90s, we'd be holding him in an even higher regard than we do today. A once in a generational talent. 

After Milan, Ronaldo landed at Corinthians in his native Brazil. He spent two seasons at the club, scoring 18 goals in 31 appearances before retiring in 2011.

10 years on Nike have paid tribute to his Corinthians homecoming by releasing a jersey inline with the 2009/10 release. A season where Ronaldo helped guide the club to the São Paulo State Championship and Brazilian Cup title. 

The home jerseys clean design features 9 pinstripes across the front of the shirt, a reference to R9. It also features a simple v-collar with a special logo - a stylized number 9 inside the shape of the Corinthians crest.

The 2019/20 away jersey is a simple predominantly black design. The jersey honors the Gaviões da Fiel, the club's most popular organized fan group which was founded 50 years ago. The jersey includes a special insert on the collar with black and white stripes.
