Nike have just dropped the new Liverpool 21/22 away jersey and its not bad, not bad at all.
The kit comes in an off-white colour with flashes of 'bright crimson' for the Liverpool crest & Nike Swoosh and 'dark atomic teal' on the sleeve cuffs & collar.
The jersey is a step back from last years wild teal design but its nice in a different way, sometimes less is more.
The shirt is inspired by the cult classic 1996/97 shirt of the same colourway which Robbie Fowler wore while banging in 18 goals, finishing 7 behind top scorer Alan Shearer. It was a disappointing season for the reds, finishing fourth; losing to Champions Manchester United twice and failing to beat Merseyside rivals Everton that season.
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back and push for the premier league title in the 21/22 Away Jersey having a relatively disappointing season last year by their recent lofty standards.
The reds will be pushing Manchester City all the way this year and with Jurgen Klopp at the helm and Mo Salah looking to claim another Golden Boot we're not putting it past them to claim a second premier league trophy in 3 years.
The shirt is of course made with 100 per cent recycled polyester fabric, which is taken from recycled plastic bottles. The bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce a material ready for manufacturing and is part of Nike’s ‘Move to Zero’ initiative, with football apparel leading the way in becoming more sustainable.
