Nike Launch The New 'Phantom Vortex' Pack
Thu, Jan 04.24

To say that 2024 is going to be big would be a massive understatement. We've already seen two classics come through in the form of the new adidas Copa Icon and the Premier III from Nike. And now, Nike has taken it up a notch further with the new limited-edition Phantom Vortex Pack. New tech to bring in the new year - how good?
We mentioned changes were on the horizon after the Phantom Thunder Pack, and judging by how well the disruption GX and Luna models sold, it's clear that people resonated with the then-current designs.
However, times change, and updates are always around the corner. The new Phantom Vortex pack showcases the all-new textured Grip Skin upper on both the new Phantom GX II and Phantom Luna II models. Both now have a significantly more streamlined look and feel, with the sole difference lying in the collar. The GX II has replaced its previous soleplate with the Luna Cyclone 360 soleplate. That means the Luna II becomes the sole high-cut option, replacing the GX II's Dynamic Fit. Now your decision centres on choosing between the high and low-cut option based on your preference.
With three different Phantom options consolidated into two, we believe this streamlined approach for 2024 will be more effective in the long run. It's going to make things more simple and clear. We just want to hear your feedback on the soleplate decision and how well that resonates with you all.
We also think Nike has done a good job on the 'Green Glow/Black' colourway which kicks off this new generation. The swirling Gripknit pattern, inspired by the eye of a storm, seamlessly merges into an appealing design. Once you lay hands on these, you'll appreciate the texture and be eager to put them to the test. Stay tuned as we'll have a full play test dropping soon.
