Heard of Demy de Zeeuw? You might remember him from his time at Ajax and the Netherlands National Team, playing as a defensive midfielder while also being recognised as one of the game’s most fashionable footballers – as covered by Esquire back in 2011.
While playing for Spartak Moscow back in 2013, Demy really took his love for fashion to another level. He teamed up with internet entrepreneurs Juul Manders and Ralph de Geus to form BALR. - an international luxury lifestyle brand known nowadays for its high-end fashion, travel products and accessories for men and women.
BALR. has grown into a modern lifestyle brand that is aspirational and in tune with its massive young audience. The brand has worked with many top athletes like Fernando Torres, Antoine Griezmann and former shareholder Gregory van der Wiel.
The BALR. crew have been busy since day one too. Not only have they created a top end brand, they also have a massive social media presence through many different accounts such as @433, @visubal and @wannahaves. Demy really ramped things up to a whole new cool level with @balr_yacht – yes, they have a yacht based in Ibiza!
Puma recognised BALR. as a massive brand last year and teamed up with a debut collaboration back in October, 2019. Fast forward a year and we are thrilled to be able to bring the latest Puma X BALR. Collection to Australian shores.
The latest drop for Fall 2020 packs more football dreams than ever before into premium materials and designs. The collection features the subtle hexagonal patterns throughout which are based on the brands iconic branding which is very identifiable. This design ties back to the pattern found on football and goal nets.
The Dutch brand have elevated things for their limited-edition versions of the Future 6.1 Netfit BALR. FG and Future Rider. In true fashion though, the collaboration wasn’t going to only include boots. The collection also features a stunning Future Rider lifestyle shoe, jersey, hoody and pants.
