adidas Football Reveals New Real Madrid Kits For 2018/19 Season

Herzogenaurach, 29 May – adidas Football and Real Madrid today revealed the club’s new kits for the 2018/19 season. In line with the adidas Football design mantra of ‘authenticity to progression’, the home and away jerseys have both been updated to give the iconic club a bold new look.   

“Create” is, according to the dictionary, to produce something from nothing. That maybe a bit exaggerated, but true when talking about Real Madrid, because every year they start from scratch, reinventing themselves for the next title. 

Adidas Football reflects that attitude with the new home kit; It has a bold, simple design that continues the tradition of classic Madrid home jerseys. The shirt features a new shade of white that serves as a subtle update to the famous design. A new collar construction includes a bespoke button engraved with ‘Real Madrid’ for a sophisticated, modern addition to the shirt.

The adidas stripes, logo and even the sponsor’s, are black, a highly elegant combination, and previously used, for example, in 2002, the year of Zidane’s famous goal. In line with this sober style, is the retrieval of the buttons on the collar, upgrading a classic football shirt design

Drawing inspiration from classic kits of the past as well as featuring new design innovations, the away jersey has been designed to suit the street as well as the stadium. The away jersey maintains a dark tone, with the design including unique style and wearability features - It combines ultimate wearability with street focused-style and features a unique two-toned blue stripe pattern with a Tech Onix accent. The Real Madrid logo has also been re-imagined in a Tech Onix accent. Unlike the home kit there, there are no buttons on  this V-neck.
