A Look Back At Every Adidas Predator Accelerator Remake
Mon, Mar 22.21

There's nothing like a pair of adidas Predator Accelerators, so when the Three Stripes started re-releasing some of their all time greats back in 2018 - we were as ecstatic as anyone.
We've seen 4 adidas Predator Accelerator remakes since we opened our doors back in 2017 and with something special on the horizon, we thought it was only right to run through each one we've released so far.
1. Adidas Predator Accelerator 'Electricity' - July, 2018.
The first adidas Predator Accelerator remake we dropped back in July of 2018 took many by surprise. The 'Electricity' colourway in yellow, black and red isn't the classic Predator colourway that springs to mind when thinking about the iconic silo, but boy oh boy does it still pop in present day.
The real K-Leather and original accelerator tooling were brought back for this release, including the rubber fins which looked just as cool 20 years since the Accelerator debut back in 1998.
The launch was kept to 1999 pairs worldwide, paying homage to this specific electricity colourway which was released back in 1999. It's the brightest of the bunch and because it was our first, it's certainly one our favourites.
2. Adidas Predator Accelerator 1998 - August, 2018.
Now this was more like it from a classic colourway point of view. The 2018, 1998 1 to 1 Predator Accelerator Black/White/Red remake of the original was an instant boot of the year winner.
In our opinion - this was as good as it gets. This is the colourway that is true to Predator, one that fills you with nostalgia and memories of players like Zizou, Del Piero and more.
Once again the boots were basically the same as the original, but sat on a streamlined and lighter soleplate to ensure that the current players could rock them with the latest and greatest tech from the Three Stripes.
It doesn't get much cooler than this 1998 model so if you copped a pair back then, count yourself lucky. You definitely have one of the best boots of all time in your locker.
3. Adidas '25 Years of Predator' Zidane Accelerator - March, 2019.
Adidas changed it up and did something never seen before back in 2019 to celebrate '25 Years of Predator" - naturally for such a celebration they had to dip the iconic boots in gold.
The strikingly beautiful colourway wasn't just to show off and celebrate 25 years of the iconic silo though, they actually celebrated the landmark year which was Zidane's 1998 Ballon d'Or win, which of course included his famous World Cup triumph on home soil in France.
A neat touch on these was Zidane's initials which were stitched into the heels and the fact they rode on a Predator 19+ soleplate, not just a lightweight version which we saw for the first two models. These ones had the best soleplate tech for the modern game.
The boots coming through with a totally new colourway didn't stop collectors and fans of Predators wanting to stay true to originals - these boots sold out as fast as any of the other drops.
4. Adidas Predator Accelerator 'Eternal Class' - January, 2021.
Blackout Predator Accelerators were a dream for many which became a reality earlier this year with the perfect 'Eternal Class' pack.
The Predator Accelerator is hard to beat at the best of times, but seeing it scaled back and derived of any colour brings the boot to life in the purest form - and it's glorious.
The trainer versions of these were the pitch of the bunch, with black being suck an easy colour to rock as opposed to some of the more eye catching versions above.
5. Adidas Predator Accelerator ? - March, 2021.
What comes next? You'll have to sit tight... but not for long! This week is going to be massive for fans of adidas Predator. if you have all four of the above, you might have another to add to your collection soon.
In the meantime, please let us know your favourite Predator Accelerator release so far in the comments.
