Bellingham took the number 5 jersey as a tribute to Zinedine Zidane. He expressed his respect for Real Madrid and the honour of joining the club, mentioning that it nearly stopped his heart when he heard they wanted him. Watching the press conferences in his early days and weeks as Madrid player, it is incredible to see how well he speaks to the media and fans at 20 years of age. This achievement made him the third player in the club's history to score in each of his first four competitive appearances and equaled Real's all-time top scorer's five-goal tally. Bellingham expressed his excitement, mentioning that the crowd's rendition of 'Hey Jude' gave him goosebumps.
