The Meyba Lifestyle Collection Has Landed

We're always excited when we release a collection from a new brand at Ultra Football. MEYBA is the latest lifestyle brand we are thrilled to be stocking and the Barca-based Spanish brand's debut collection with us is top notch.

MEYBA is full of heritage. Older football fans might remember the likes of Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff and Hristo Stoichkov repping the brand back in the 80's and early 90's when MEYBA was the kit supplier to none other than European giants FC Barcelona. It wasn't just a fleeting sponsorship as well - the iconic Mitica 'M' symbol was seen on the iconic Barca kits for a very successful decade from 1982 through to 1992. 

This perfect partnership became possible largely down to the the fact that MEYBA is a Barcelona based brand, created by Josep Mestre and Joaquim Ballbé (which is where the name ME 'y' BA came from) back in 1940. The club signed the deal in 1982 which propelled MEYBA to celebrity status around the world - mainly thanks to just how successful the Catalan club preformed on pitch with a host of star players dubbed ‘Dream team V1’ collecting many trophies during the timeframe.

It wasn't just Barca that the Spanish brand had on their books as well. There were many other local teams, including fellow powerhouse Atlético de Madrid and even Portuguese giants FC Porto. Not bad, hey?

During the 90's the spotlight diminished when Kappa took over the FC Barcelona deal in 1992. Ever since the brand has been waiting for a big rebirth moment and now we have it. 

Today MEYBA aims to bring a collection of fresh casual sportswear that pays homage to the origins and principles of the old Mediterranean values. Looking good not only on the pitch but also on the streets is the essence of MEYBA.

Our initial collection includes tees, hoodies, crew tops, tech cap, boot bag and our favourite - the very Ultra vibey terrace jacket.
