The Best Jerseys From Inter Milan x Pirelli
Thu, Mar 04.21

Jersey sponsors can be hit and miss. They can make or break a kit design, so when you hear the news that Inter Milan and Pirelli will be ending their front of jersey sponsorship after a quarter of a century, it's only natural to feel sad. Why? Because this relationship has been a beautiful one - with a logo that has sat perfectly on the front of Inter jerseys since the 90s.
Here's a look at a few of our favourites since the beginning.
97/98 Third
It would have been amazing had Ultra Football existed back in the 90s so we could have had jerseys like this at our disposal. The 97/98 Inter third is about as iconic as it gets.
The centred Inter logo is perfect. The gold Pirelli and Umbro logos are perfect. The collar is perfect. The fact that Ronaldo wore this while at his peak, running past defenders like they were inflatable tube men flailing and falling over in the wake of his blistering pace and skill makes this one even more memorable.
07/08 Away

The 07/08 Inter Milan away jersey celebrated the clubs 100th anniversary in style.
The large Red Cross design is from the flag of the city of Milan, which symbolises the connection between Saint Ambrose and the city.
The Pirelli logo takes a back seat here - only visible under the Inter logo in small font, but like we already said, it doesn't look out of place in that position because of the iconic logo and relationship. Further proof that this logo really could do no wrong on an Inter jersey.
It's not your most typical looking Inter jersey but boy it's a cracker and one we wish we had in our jersey collection. Let's hope we see that design come back in the future.
08/09 Home

The 08/09 Inter Home jersey took things up a notch with that classy gold Pirelli logo brought in to celebrate the title won in the previous season.
It was the first time the Pirelli logo was seen in gold which ties in nicely with the Inter logo.
The 08/09 season was also the first under new manager José Mourinho - and didn't that turn out to be an inspired pick up? Inter won the league in his first season by ten points over Juve, with Zlatan in incredible goalscoring form ending the campaign with 29 goals in all competitions. Sensational stuff from the big Swede.
That long sleeve version worn by captain Javier Zanetti is everything.
10/11 Home
The 10/11 Inter home jersey had to be included, mainly because it provided a subtle glimpse into the clubs future of changing up the traditional striped design - albeit nearly a decade later.
This jersey brought in a slight wavy design through the stripes while keeping to the traditional design, worn the season after the peak of Inter's dominance in Italy and on the continent with Champions League success.
14/15 Home
The 14/15 Inter home jersey had the club rocking pinstripes which actually looked cool, classy and on trend with the fashion capital that is Milan. The super thin stripes really allowed the Pirelli logo the flourish on the front of the jersey as it popped on the dark blue base.
It wasn't the most successful period for Inter, finishing a dismal 8th in Serie A under Roberto Mancini, and you can't help but feel this stunning design deserved better on pitch.

2019 ‘20th anniversary’ Home
One of the best executions of a mash up jersey we've ever seen. Nike and Inter's relationship peaked in 2019 with this special edition jersey to celebrate 20 years together, utilising 10 different jerseys over the years to come up with a truly stunning jersey that worked out perfectly - finished off with the Pirelli logo in gold once again tying back to the 08/09 classic.
Who can forget the 3-2 epic win against Milan in the league wearing this too? Absolute scenes. Football is missing fans so much.
19/20 Home
Polarising, yes - but we applauded the move. It's not something that was going to last forever, so why not?
19/20 Away + Third
The 19/20 season was clearly a good one in the jersey department - so much so that we had to also include the away and third options.
The away came through in vivid aquamarine with black and gold accents. The Inter logo was changed to black and gold for this and the whole combination worked incredibly well. We might be starting to sound like a broken record at this point, but Nike really nailed it with the crest change which paid homage to the City of Milan's elegance.
The third jersey was even better, paying homage to the partnership with Pirelli - with a F1 motorsport style design that even had some off-pitch gear that would have looked ideal in pit lane.
The Nike Futura logo was also a great touch on this design, working perfectly with the collar, Inter logo and traditional yellow and red Pirelli logo. Pirelli finally got their original logo on the jersey and it might just be one of our favourites of all time.
20/21 Home + Away
The away jersey continued to elevate the club's traditional style, with a familiar white design mixed with an unfamiliar pattern to modernise their on-pitch look for the upcoming Serie A season.
The Nerazzurri grid graphic represents the community of Milanese people that looks to the future of the city and the club with an innovative approach. The city and club the fans love have a bright future ahead; and this jersey brings the two together as one.
If you want a collectors item, don't miss the chance to own the last of the great Inter x Pirelli jerseys. We may never see them on the front of a new Inter jersey again. Shop the 20/21 range here.
