Redbull's Neymar Jr 5's Returns to Parramatta Gaol this May

   

Parramatta Gaol will set the stage for the 2019 rendition of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five competition. Set to unearth Western Sydney’s best five-a-side talent, the mixed competition is open to 16-25 year old players from 27-31 May at Parramatta Gaol. The overall champions will represent Australia and score an all-expenses-paid trip to the World Final in Brazil.

In 2018, more than 125,000 youths competed in 62 countries in the Brazilian star’s signature tournament, culminating in the World Final where the winners played in a friendly match against Neymar Jr and his teammates.

The format is simple; each match runs for 10 minutes with no goalkeepers. Teams lose a player every time the opposition scores. The team with the highest score or number of remaining players move on to the next round.

Teams can comprise of both male and female players aged 16-25. Each team are allowed two players aged 25+ however is not compulsory. Registration fee per team is $100 which includes two event jerseys per registered player.
