Puma releases its first kits ever for Portugal!
Mon, Jan 06.25

As the year begins, Portugal has released its first jerseys in collaboration with Puma.
A bit of history…
In 1997, Nike and Portugal signed a deal, making the brand the exclusive kit provider for A Seleção. Before that, Portugal worked with several kit manufacturers, including Olympic, Adidas, Carné, and even producing kits in-house until 1956.
In November 2024, Nike released a classic jersey reissue as part of their long-standing partnership, marking the final jersey produced for the country by the brand. Following the release of the 1998 Brazil jersey, A Seleção became the latest national team to receive a reissue. This jersey was highly appreciated by Portugal fans, evoking memories of the iconic Euro 2004 tournament hosted at home—though it ended in heartbreak.
Portugal x Puma: The Beginning of an Era
On January 1, 2025, Portugal's 27-year partnership with Nike came to an end as the country embarked on a new journey, signing a deal with Puma.
This is a monumental move for Puma, as they fully commit to Seleção das Quinas after nearly three decades under Nike. The brand inherits the excitement and global attention that comes whenever Cristiano Ronaldo is involved, with the star showing no signs of retiring anytime soon. Featuring him in teaser content is a major win for Puma, ensuring all eyes are on this historic collaboration.
And with CR7—arguably the greatest goal scorer of all time—continuing to demonstrate his extraordinary athleticism at his age (as seen in his stunning bicycle kick during Portugal's win over Poland in November), fans will be hoping for even more success with this new chapter under Puma.
The First Portugal x Puma Kits Ever

To kick off 2025, Puma has released a full collection that includes home and away kits for men, women, and goalkeepers, along with a pre-match jersey.
The home kits feature Portugal's iconic red, accented by green details. The collar on both the men's and women's kits is a striking combination of white and green, with matching trim on the sleeves.
While the home kits are quite similar, the away kits feature distinct designs. The women's away kit is a pale green with splashes of green and red, while the men's away kit is white, with wavy green and red patterns.
Will this be Cristiano Ronaldo's final kit with Portugal? Or will it see the women's team lift the Euros trophy? 2025 promises to be an exciting year for Portugal, and it's certainly one to watch!
