The Postecoglou Era Kicks off at Celtic

The Ange Postecoglou era at Celtic has officially kicked off with a 1-1 draw against Dutch side FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Champions League qualifying first leg at Celtic Park.
The Former Australian boss went with a 4-3-3 formation which he often used at Brisbane Roar. Celtic’s front line consisted of Edouard, Christie and new Israeli signing Liel Abada who pounced on a loose ball to make it 1-0 just before half-time.
Minutes later Celtic were down to 10 following Nir Bitton’s reaction to what he thought was a dive from Anders Dreyer, poking him in the face and receiving a second yellow card. Celtics' disadvantage didn’t last long with Dreyer also receiving a second yellow 15 minutes later for a dive, funny that.
Midtjylland scored an equaliser from an Evander free kick which caught out Celtic Goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas and snuck in at the far post.
Ange was pleased with the result but believed they deserved more;
“Great pride in the way the players went about it, they put in a fantastic effort. Frustration with the result but not the performance.”
“We played really well, especially first half where we controlled the game, scored a good goal and hit the post”

With the new Away Goals rule in effect, the sides are basically level at half-time now with the second leg being played in Denmark on the 29th of July.
