Nike x Reko Rennie Tease First Nations Designed National Football Team Collection
Mon, Feb 17.25

We’ve been flooded with DMs over the past few months: “When’s the next National Team kit dropping?” The love for our National Teams is at an all-time high after two unforgettable FIFA World Cup campaigns—both on home soil and abroad. Nothing compares to the pride and excitement our teams bring to Australian football.
And today? It’s something special. Really special. We’re here to tease a first-of-its-kind moment: a Nike x National Team Football Collection designed by the renowned Kamilaroi artist Reko Rennie. Massive.
You’ve probably seen the teasers by now. Reko Rennie sitting pitch-side at AAMI Park, draped in that stadium jacket, the bold patterns stretched across the field? Even though we knew it was coming, it still got us every time we saw something pop up.
At Ultra Football, we celebrate the intersection of sport, culture, and community. We know how much football can unite, inspire, and drive meaningful change. The collaboration reflects the shared philosophy of the CommBank Matildas and Subway Socceroos: Forever Forging Forward. It’s all about progress, cultural representation, and sparking inspiration on and off the pitch.
And this kit? It’s a game-changer. Both teams will embody this vision with a design that celebrates First Nations storytelling and the incredible power of football to connect communities.
“I have a deep connection to the culture of football. Growing up in the western suburbs of Melbourne, I saw first-hand how the game united the local community I was a part of, and what it means to wear the national jersey. To feel part of something bigger. I am proud to have designed this kit, it is a bold statement of cultural visibility, celebrating the diverse communities changing the game for the future - a message of unity from the oldest continuous civilisation on earth to everyone, united through football.” - Reko Rennie.
At the core of the Collection – still to be fully revealed on Friday – is a striking motif that draws inspiration from patterns commonly found in First Nations message sticks, used traditionally to pass messages and communication between communities. This symbol of connection, history, and storytelling reflects the shared values of Football Australia, Nike, and Reko Rennie, reinforcing football’s capacity to bring people together across generations, cultures and backgrounds.
This collection is for everyone. The Australia National Football Team Collection will be worn by all Football Australia National Teams—including senior, youth, Para, and Futsal squads. It all kicks off with the SheBelieves Cup on Friday.
Ready to grab the collection? Stay tuned. Friday, February 21 is going to be a massive day.
