Nike Launch the Mercurial Superfly 'LVL UP'
Tue, Mar 26.19

For over 20 years, the iconic Nike Mercurial has embodied explosive speed through color and design. This new special edition features different elements found on some of the boldest Mercurial boots made in the past decade. A full archive of the Mercurial Silo can been seen here on the Nike website.
A tonal, reflective white-on-white safari print envelopes the entire boot, inspired by the Nike Air Safari running shoe introduced in 1987 and seen on a Mercurial boot for the first time in 2010. The heritage of this print is also reflected on the black-on-black Swoosh. This here is the Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 'LVL UP' edition and it features an eclectic mix of different elements found on some of the most iconic Mercurial boots made in the past decade. A simplistic outfit with a stunning belt of boldness, the 'LVL UP' tells a story of Swooshed up speed.
Since there are no CR7 brandings to be found anywhere on the boots (there are on some of the accompanying collection pieces), and Nike did not use Ronaldo's name in the marketing process so far, we will also see other players wear these. Nike has confirmed this for Kylian Mbappé and our own home grown superstar Matilda, Sam Kerr. A huge statement in the world of football and signature boots, standing strong alongside the biggest football athletes in history.
A combination of safari, silverware, cheetah, galaxy, gold and lava-inspired patterns are blended with neon hues, metallics and volt to form a distinctive color stripe that honors Mercurial’s rich style heritage. The vibrant multicolor band wraps the forefoot and flows from the underfoot to the heel. The graphic is also displayed uniformly atop the tongue.
