Times have been turbulent for the blue part of London. We all know what's happened to the ownership, the club is missing a sporting director and now, incredibly, Thomas Tuchel is out the door. It seems like a crazy decision a few games into the season given all the money he's spent on players he wanted.
Drama aside - let's talk jerseys. We know how many Chelsea fans are in Australia. We've been hit up by most of you on socials waiting for this one. We're pleased to say the Chelsea 22/23 Away Jersey has landed. The design is well worth the wait and pays homage to one of the most important figures in the club's history, Ted Drake.
Ted Drake became manager of Chelsea in 1952 after his playing career ended. In 1955, he led the club to their first league title. What makes this even more special is that he became the first person to win the English top-flight as a player and manager.
The jersey shares the same colours and theme as the home shirt, with a white and four teal hoop pattern. Where's the similarity? Check the unique lion pattern collar of the home jersey and the White/Chlorine Blue/College Navy design.
The badge has been recoloured to suit the overall design while on the inside neck of the jersey you'll find ‘Chelsea FC, London’ text. A tribute to the club's city.
