Nike launch the 2020 England Home & Away Jerseys
Thu, Sep 03.20

We love the 2020 England home jersey. Absolutely love it. It’s a modern classic that gives off major France ’98 vibes with those red and blue side panels and centred crest. Think a young Michael Owen's solo goal against Argentina, sending fans and onlookers around the world into a frenzy.
Now it’s a new generation who has a chance to create more magic moments in two England jerseys which are instant classics, and sure to age well with time. Did we mention we love the away jersey, too?
The likes of Jadon Sancho, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford and others look set to ignite the Nations League which starts again this weekend, with an eye on a much bigger prize next European summer – the rescheduled 2021 Euros. There is so much to look forward to if you’re a fan of the Three Lions.
Both the home and away jerseys for the England national team aim to capture the spirit of the side, representative of all people, by using bespoke graphic prints that depict a community of lions. A design that aims to bring players and fans together in unison, united in sharing a dream.
The white home jersey features a dark blue crew neck and those side panels we mentioned already which look retro and super clean. The collar and the stripes are embossed with a graphic that reads “community of lions” bringing even more pride to the jersey. The crest and Nike Swoosh are cantered and do all the talking on the clean design, as they should. This is an England jersey after all. The whole look is really elevated when you see the jersey with the dark blue shorts and white socks. How can you not love this kit?
“We’re united in our goal of representing our fans far and wide. This collection captures that feeling of togetherness we hold so dearly.”
Harry Kane, England captain.
The away jersey is blue with matching shorts to emphasise togetherness with its all-over graphic. The jersey is another nod to the 90s as well with the collar and button look a very smart option to rock both on and off pitch. The buttons are inscribed with the words “We are Lions/We are England.” Our favourite thing about the away jersey is the bright red side stripes, swoosh and crest which really add some pop to the design. The Three Lions are unmissable and stand out proudly on the blue backing.
Could this potentially be a Nations League and or Euro winning set of jerseys? Maybe, there's every chance. For England fans, knowing that maybe isn’t even a question shows how far this team has come under Gareth Southgate. It’s youthful exuberance shines through and will shine bright in both of these jerseys starting this weekend against Iceland.
What are your thoughts on both jerseys? Will you be adding them to your collection? Let us know in the comments.
