Mizuno Release The Classic Wave Cup Legend

Mizuno have flooded all millennials with a wave of nostalgia with this updated 2018 release of the iconic Wave Cup Legend boot. Worn by Brazilian great, Rivaldo in which he wore during the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan. The classic has been reborn.
It is not the first time that Mizuno brings back Rivaldo's Wave Cup 2002 football boot - the brand already re-released the boots in 2014. The new boots will differ a bit from the first remake, including he 5 stars on the tongue that were added for the new remake.
The Mizuno Wave Cup were originally launched in 2001. In 2002, the year of the World Cup in Japan and South Korea, Mizuno released a special signature edition of the boots for Brazilian playmaker Rivaldo. Which brought the win the 2002 World Cup to Brazil while wearing the boots.
The 2018 Mizuno Wave Cup Legend celebrates the Brazilian legend, with remaking the 2002 Mizuno Wave Cup into a Wave Cup Legend. The classic boot is still all about quality. The pair is handcrafted in Japan with Mizuno’s popular kangaroo leather, a soft, smooth, thin and strong leather, that also offers a feeling like the boots were personally tailored for you.
This predominately white boot feature flashes of blue and yellow, which tied so well with the Brazilian National Kit during the Cup. The sole plate is the exact specifications for the world champion, utilising his signature stud formation also with a window at the heel displaying the Mizuno Compact Wave technology.
The latest re-release has some added extras, with the folded over tongue from white to the original blue, featuring five yellow stars compared to the four on the 2002 version thanks to the national teams success in that tournament.
