Aussie skate brand Butter Goods, founded by Garth Mariano & Matt Evans has teamed with Puma for a throwback footwear and apparel collection inspired by sports advertising from the late ’90s and early ’00s.
From Perth to Munich & North London, Butter Goods have dressed up some of PUMA's biggest athletes in the range, including; Kingsley Koman, Christian Pulisic, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and Sebastien Haller.
Mariano recalls that “The late ‘90s/early 2000s were full of bold colours, baggy cuts and technical fabrics and finishing's,” says Mariano. “We've mixed that influence with some toned back, classic stylings too.”
Butter generally incorporate 90s nostalgia into their gear, so the collaboration was a no-brainer, “As PUMA doesn’t have a skate program, it was fun to reinterpret things through that lens.” says Matt Evans.
The Butter Goods x Puma Collaboration is available in limited numbers at buttergoods.com or puma.com.
