Argentina Home and Away 2022 World Cup Jerseys in Focus
Wed, Sep 14.22

As Messi and the team look to take on football’s biggest stage, adidas has unveiled their respective Argentina home and away threads for Qatar 2022.
While the classical sky blue with white stripes remain on the home kit, the away has been designed with a bold twist, powered by a quest for a fairer world. The purple stems from gender equality, which aligns with adidas’ strong diversity and inclusion values.
Arguably one of the most recognisable looks amongst the powerhouse federations, the home kit remains to what we expect, with subtle branding and updates. It is however matched with an away kit with a modern design, encouraging social change.
A classy effort from adidas, giving us two very different Argentina kits to rock this summer.
An Iconic Home Kit matched by an Inclusive Away Kit, Which one will you choose?
Starting with the Home kit, the core foundations remain. Featuring white with sky blue stripes, we wouldn’t expect anything more. But what makes this home kit even better than the previous renditions? Like the other adidas World Cup jerseys so far, the 3 bar logo has been updated without the adidas text below it, modernising the overall look and feel.
One of the best details added onto the home shirt has to be the two centered stripes running down the back, breaking up the traditional thick stripes that run evenly across the kit.
Up close and personal you will also see diagonal patterns dashing across the kit, giving it a bit of texture. Finishing off with a touch of class, the back of the collar has a gold sun printed on - representing the “Sol de Mayo” which is the national emblem of Argentina.
Onto the much anticipated Away kit. Designed to promote gender equality with vibrant purple colours, it is matched with fiery graphics imitating the Sol de Mayo once again.
With gender equality still being a rather avoidable subject when it comes to major tournaments, we must give credit to adidas on promoting a fairer world.
Overall, both kit designs deserve a round of applause for two very different reasons. Not to mention, the latest technology has been applied to produce comfort for both players and fans.
With the Authentic kits, expect to find high performance cooling technology through HEAT.RDY, whilst the replica kits offer moisture-wicking technology through AEROREADY.
Made with recycled materials coming from plastic waste, adidas’ continues their stance on sustainability for the upcoming World Cup.
Traditional looks with a touch of class, or a bold strip with an empowering message. The choice is yours.
