A Bayern jersey doesn't just represent the club, it reflects their home.
The new adidas Bayern Munich 21/22 away jersey is inspired by the symbol of Munich - the Munich Child.
The Münchner Kindl, as it's known in Germany, is the symbol on the coat of arms for the city of Munich. It's something the locals easily recognise and now they can wear the symbol proudly in the stadium as they support their team.
Our initial thoughts? Wow. Black and gold is always a special mix, but this split diagonal polka dot design really elevates an away jersey in new ways.
The gold accents seen throughout the design also link back to the countless trophies the club has won - and you wouldn't bet against them adding more to the trophy cabinet in the upcoming season. This jersey can hang in their as well because it's probably going to be our favourite we'll see come through from any brand this season.
The coat of arms and wordmark have been included on the upper back of the jersey in an aim to embody the city further into the design.
