Real Madrid is a special club and this is a special release. The adidas Real Madrid 22/23 Away Jersey is here and it's a stunner. To bring this launch to life we had to get the vibe check from one of Australia's biggest Madridistas, Steve AKA Espresso Futbol.
"Real Madrid's association with purple, or mulberry to be exact, dates back to 1931 and the dissolution of the monarchy. This brought about changes to the famous Real Madrid crest, with the crown replaced by the dark mulberry band of the Region of Castile."
2 years after the civil war, in 1941, the crest got restored with the crown added once again. The colours seen on the current badge were added and the "Real" in Real Madrid was reinstated.
