adidas Drop The Ajax 23/24 Home Jersey Featuring The Original Centred Crest
Fri, Jul 07.23

adidas have just released the Ajax 23/24 home jersey, going back to the centred crest which first made its debut back in the early 1970's.
Ajax jerseys are instantly recognisable. The famous red and white design is always a classic, and the jersey for next season is no different. In fact, the return to the centred crest design, which hasn't been seen since the 07/08 season, makes this one of the best jerseys we've come across this year.
The Ajax crest moved to the top left in the 1982/1983 season, when Ajax introduced TDK as first shirt sponsor. In 1991/1992 the Ajax crest returned to its original central position for another 17 seasons, with ABN Amro as main sponsor.

As a tribute to the central position of the Ajax crest, the adidas and Ziggo logos also feature centrally on the jersey, as do Amsterdam’s iconic St. Andrew’s crosses, which are featured vertically as neck detail. The St. Andrew’s crosses are also prominently featured on the socks. The iconic red lane is made of a rich fabric, with subtle vertical stripes to enhance the classic appeal.
Ajax finished a disappointing 3rd in the Eredivisie last season. The club will be hoping their back to the future design propels them back to the top of the league and beyond in Europe.
