Adidas and Manchester United Launch 2019/20 away shirt, inspired by the city’s artwork

The 2019/20 away kit breaks away from tradition with a bold new design and colour palette.
Inspired by Manchester’s many mosaics, the new shirt combines creative design with football performance technology.
Adidas Football and Manchester United today release their new away shirt for the 2019/20 season, featuring a fresh savannah-toned aesthetic and intricate patterned design that takes its inspiration from the many mosaics that colour the streets of Manchester’s creative district, the Northern Quarter.
Standing out with a new colour palette, the striking new away shirt continues to blur the lines between sport and style, blending both cultures into a single piece of design. Influenced by the unique artwork of the Northern Quarter, the city is embedded deep within the design - the base colour is overlaid with a subtle pattern.
The clean Savannah colour is paired with a minimal black secondary colour that adorns the Adidas three stripes on the shoulders, a modern crewneck collar, a trimmed hem and the club’s iconic badge. Offering peak performance innovation, the kit features CLIMALITE technology to wick sweat and is made from 100% polyester.
The Manchester United players are joined by local music artist Aitch, in the launch film for the kit. A Manchester native and United fan, Aitch has written a track to celebrate the launch which he performs in the video. It can be seen on Adidas and Manchester United social channels from today (12th July).
The Manchester United away jersey will be exclusively available at adidas.com, and in Adidas and club stores from 12th July 2019. It will be first seen on pitch on 13th July 2019, when the team kick-starts its preseason tour against Perth Glory, in Australia.
